This is one of the most beautiful pieces of art that I have ever had the pleasure of viewing. It was a random pick up from my local library because I wanted to learn about the beautiful creatures on the cover but I learned so much more than just that. This book is beautifully written and each chapter fully pulled me in. The emotions I felt while reading this book are truly indescribable and I’m grateful that I decided to bring it home with me to read. I found myself having to stop due to the overwhelming emotions this book pulled out of me. You can tell every story, every word, every creature were so thoughtfully picked. This is a book about life, love, and wonder. I think this is a book that everyone should read because you can truly learn so much. I fell in love with this book and I believe I will treasure it for the rest of my life. Aimee Nezhukumatathil is truly an amazing writer and storyteller and I don’t think I could have any more wonderful things to say about this book.

The ending of this book was genuinely crazy to me like out of the whole series this one threw me the most. When I left a review for The Wicked King I literally just said “Girl… fuck Cardan”… I now retract my statement. I love Cardan I’ve never said anything bad about Cardan. The real star of the entire series is Jude though. There was not a moment especially in this book where I did not like her. She’s such a great character to me and I found myself agreeing with her almost every time. She’s such a strong character and I love the way she carries herself and how she has truly been such a fighter in all ways.

I didn’t automatically review this after I read it because I truly didn’t have the words. This was such an easy read like the pages were basically turning themselves. It was such a beautiful story with great twists and turns. The characters are absolutely loveable and I’m super excited to read the sequel of this book. I was truly captivated the whole way through. Shiori is so amazing and I loved seeing her growth and how she and her brothers were able to do such amazing things to survive the odds. The twist at the end of this book genuinely caught me off guard like I never saw it coming. I HIGHLY recommend this book. I also want to talk about how beautiful the cover of this book was like I think it is one of my favorite, if not my favorite, covers I’ve ever seen.

I’m genuinely broken. Reading this book was such an experience I am truly sad that it is over. I loved these characters with all of my heart and wish I could see more of their story. I didn’t think I could love this book more than the first but I absolutely do. Every page there was a twist and the growth of the characters from the first book to this one was incredible. Everything about this book was amazing to me. I couldn't put it down. The relationships between all the characters were written so beautifully and we got to see the most vulnerable parts of them. I have been torn by this book and I will be thinking of it for years to come. It might just be one of my favorite books that I have ever read. This book has such a good balance of everything and I’m actually so grateful to have read it. I will definitely be reading it again in the future. I highly recommend it and the first book, Six of Crows, to anyone who enjoys beautifully written characters and a good thrill.

I loved this book a ridiculous amount. The characters are written in such a way that it’s so easy to love (or hate) them. With every part, this book got better and better. I found I was forcing myself to put the book down because I couldn’t stop reading. I was a little nervous with the multiple POVs at first but I think they made the book that much better. There were times that I could physically feel some of the raw emotions the characters were feeling. Overall this book was just incredible and I think I will definitely be picking it up in the future to reread.
