A fun baseball romance, he teaches her, best friend's brother/brothers best friend, college romance. I felt like I was reading a cheesy romcom that Netflix could soon adapt (kinda getting Kissing Booth vibes). The only thing that bugged me was that Hallie and Eli were considered best friends but we didn't really see their friendship play out? I feel like we saw more of that dynamic between Hallie & Viv.

Amy Lea is probably one of my new favorite authors. Every book I've read of hers have things I don't normally like but with her writing, it works. I really appreciated the mental health rep and the social media struggles/rep. The meet cute and common setting at the gym was fun. I liked that the gym was meant as a place to challenge yourself and feel strong, rather than a place to lose weight. I don't look also love the biracial Asian rep! There were many things about this book that were so cute!

I enjoyed it enough I wouldn't mind reading the others I think. I haven't met such a brooding morally grey character as Romeo since Christian Grey. This guy was sooo brooding until like the last 100 pages. Dallas was entertaining as well as Zach & Ollie - can't wait to see more of them.

3 novellas all fairly similar... And somehow felt long even for novellas.

I loved seeing a cameo from Malik Jafar and a nod to Sarah Bale's Savage Sins series! Violent God was fast paced and kept you on your toes. I enjoyed the twist at the end and I'm excited for the other Brotherhood's stories to come!

did I hate this book because I related to the FMC almost to a fault? did I also at one point in my life create a list of exes/crushes and go down the list to obtain "closure" only to be called clingy, get mistaken I wanted a hookup, or also become "the other woman"? Yuuup....yikes...and while my love story wasn't like Tara and Trevor's, there were some similarities with me and my husband's coming together, so that gave me such warm fuzzies throughout the whole read. this had me laughing since the beginning and throughout - Amy Lea you've won me over once again.

Vague and loose vibes of Asian Hunger Games meets Throne of Glass. Some others but I can't pinpoint them. It was an interesting concept and story that was enjoyable and entertaining. I always like a retelling and I loved this for Antony & Cleopatra!
