I wasnt invested but this had potential to be a good story! This really should just be a one and done book. This book was very slow with no character or plot development until the last 100 pages or so. Even then, all the events crammed in those last 100 pages seemed very rushed. I'm all for a quirky FMC but I didn't like Evie. I think this would be better off advertised as a middle grade or early ya. I did appreciate the short chapters and Kingsley was my favorite character.

I don't get this Pride and Prejudice hype. I have tried multiple times in my life to read this and I powered through this time. I don't get it. I didn't find the story enjoyable at all and I really tried to be open to it. The characters were annoying and it was just....The whole time I just kept thinking "people who say they love this book are lying to themselves. No you don't".

I love this small town series and this one was probably my favorite. Lots of tropes... small town, childhood friends to enemies to lovers, second chance, billionaire.. all great. The banter was fantastic and the family dinner scene had me giggling. I wish enjoyed the mystery and plot and plot twist in this book!

This was super cute. I liked it more than The Unhoneymooners. It was fun to revisit all the characters from The Unhoneymooners in a lighthearted fun read.

•what beautiful story is yours to tell?
•healing often looks like quiet, like sitting and feeling and really processing what you need to
•this is how we heal - by feeling our way through it. and empathy is just the same. showing others that you're willing to sit in it too. that there's no shame in pursuing honest understanding. for ourselves and among one another. shoulder to shoulder or across the table.
•silence can help validate sadness
•empathy isnt loud or flashy. it is often exchanged in quiet. and it doesn't discriminate
•practice presence - if there's something that stirs you, let it matter

Decent quick read. It makes for a decent pallet cleanser if you need to just mix it up and read something completely out there.

This had a mix of some of my favorite tropes - childhood lovers, he falls first, it's always been you, second chance romance, small town, one bed, fo ced proximity.... But I could not get into the story at all. I felt disconnected with the characters and storyline. I did appreciate the Kane brothers appearance though, that was fun.
