A surprise pregnancy trope done right! Each book in the Chestnut Springs series gets better and better. Theo and Winter had great chemistry.
This book has a lot of my favorite tropes but they unfortunately didn't hit well for me. I didn't feel like I could click with either of the main characters throughout and was disappointed. They kinda even made me cringe at times. There were moments set up for conflict with her ex-fiance, her parents, even her identity, and they all seemed to resolve itself with a page and never came back up again. It kinda seemed like any problems were just brushed under the rug. The third act breakup was...short lived and again, resolved in a page and only cause their friends told them to get their act together. Also, Riley didn't have a huge part in this book that I almost forgot she was the byproduct of Cam... she was such a huge part in the last book and I think I was expecting her involvement more.
I thought the high school flashbacks were really cute and of course am a sucker for kept love letters at the end. I loved Emmy's chapter at the end - that was a sweet way to sum up the Rebel Blue Ranch series!

It was cute and would make for a cute beautiful young love movie. Not my favorite but it had cute moments and a beautiful setting.

"Even if you don’t speak the same language, food is still universal. It’s tradition, history, custom in itself. And best of all, it brings people together.”
It’s more like a song that’s been playing in the background, waiting for me to slow down and listen hard enough to learn the lyrics.
You’re a living nightmare. And also, a living dream. My whole life I’ve thought with my head, and you . . . you make me think with my heart.”
“It’s easy to have fun with someone on all these elaborate adventures. But the real challenge is finding someone to enjoy the mundane. Someone who makes you look forward to the blurry gray of everyday life. That takes someone special. That’s what’s real.”
Maybe epic love is when there’s no one else in the world you’d rather have a million mundane Tuesdays with.

Hilarious and so fun. Could definitely relate to some funny moments and culture being of Asian heritage living in America. I liked hearing her experience of hers and her husband's love story (love that he gave the afterword)!

Oh my goshhhh....gahhh... I love it. That's all. That's the review. The banter, the tension, the discoveries, the twists. It's all so good and I am eating it all up! I had the random thought that Paedyn & Kai's journey this book reminded me of Shrek, so that's also why I probably loved it so much, haha.

This was my first Catherine Cowles book and I was not ready for the mystery suspense that came with this book but it made it all the more interesting!! The characters were great, the plot was engaging... Definitely can see more Catherine Cowles in my reading future!

“You’re right. He does need people.”“We all do. It’s just harder for some to let them in.”
“None of us is just one thing. We’re not all good or all bad. We’re a blend of shadow and light. And those sparks only shine because of the darkness.”
“Why would I wear the torture device that is a bra when I’m in my own home?”

This one was kind of disappointing for me. It missed it's mark. I didn't really like any of the characters. It definitely reminded me of The Hating Game by Sally Thorne, which is one of my favorites. Save yourself some time and just read that one instead of this.
I loved the premise of Sarah and Caleb's relationship and the setting of this story. Something was just missing for me but I'm not sure what. Also the hospital ending triggered me a bit so maybe that's where I felt off. But overall I loved the characters and setting!
