I have always liked Ken Follett and the historical depth of this series. Unfortunately, the characters in this installment were noticeably less developed and I had a hard time connecting with them despite loving their "family lines" in previous books. The whole thing was gripping and well written, drawing out the emotions of major historical events.

This book is whimsical, touching, intriguing, and well-written. I was entranced by the characters, the house, and the story of them all. Highly recommend this little gem!

One of my hands-down favorite memoirs. What a fascinating, driven woman.

I was recommended this book as someone who is a Harry Potter fan. However, I couldn't bring myself to finish it. Parts of it are intriguing and grabbing, but I found the characters tiresome to the point that I was not motivated to continue. I wanted to like this book, but was left disappointed.

Fascinating and touching look into the lives of the women of JPL. Amazing we haven't heard the story before. These women were pioneers both in their field of computing but also around women in the workplace.
