I think this book was hindered by it's shortness. Things felt rushed and over within a second. There is a lot of media now being created where it is "horror" but everyone is aware of what they are supposed to do and I think in this case that awareness made it less spooky.
A little too much in depth description of pregnancy and baby raising for me. But the concept of changlings was fun. I definitely went into this expecting more monster stuff and less hospital stuff but overall the book was ok.
The ending was devastating but I loved this book bringing together the characters from the first two books and giving us a hint at what the future of the Madd Addam world holds.
This book was a bit repeative in some places but I enjoyed the explanations of workflows and ideas for how to advocate for the worth of archives.

This book was wayyyy outside my normal non-fiction wheel house. With that being said this book made me want to learn more. Crouch critiques not only music, movies, and people but also how those things affect American culture over all. It was interesting to read about his opinions on topics from jazz/blue/swing music to movies to Disney to race riots and more.
This is one of those non-fiction books that makes you want to learn more, read more, and experience more.

Wanted more creepy guts and spore stuff on this one which there was a bit of but I still didn't like the characters and Easton seemed less courageous in this one as well.
Though this book is from 1972 I found the information relevant. Yes, the tech is old but I think the idea if the lens needed as well as how to using writing and photography together are very relevant. Coming from both a writing and photography background i enjoyed the history of the times that is brought into this book as I was reading it years after it's intended use. If you are someone who is interested in the combination of image and text, as I am, I would definitely reccomend this book.
