Both inspiring and heartbreaking. I really enjoyed hearing Anthony and Florence’s story, as difficult as it was. So awful what they went thru being kidnapped and forced to fight for their captors, but what their perspective and mindset was despite it. I loved the lessons of how to release their suffering and hatred, and how they chose forgiveness and gratitude. Amazing.
I did feel the book itself was very long and could have been condensed. There was just so much detail that didn’t necessarily make an impact in the story but drew it out a lot.

Really well told mystery that had you guessing and considering often. I thought it unfolded well, and while I liked Remy as a main character more than the timidity of Marian, I understood her personality was called for as well. I also thought the concept of mental illness and how its stigma affects those with it was handled compassionately and done well, giving those with it a representation that isn’t very frequent.

Really fascinating premise and I love the writing progression and the way the story unfolded. It just sucked me in and had me totally invested in what was happening, how everyone felt and the mystery behind it all. It was hard to put down and I enjoyed it thoroughly.
It was a great concept of not only facing a crime crisis you don’t understand, but second guessing everything you know about your spouse, or for Niall, your own judgement. And then the aftermath of that.
I thought the way the writing unfolded in a reflective way was so insightful, it let you identify with the characters completely. Some of the mystery I was able to piece together as we went, and some not till the end. While the story itself was still sad to me, I really enjoyed it a ton. Well done.
Thanks to Netgalley for the advanced copy of this book. All opinions are mine.

Loved Laura’s journey and her willingness to be vulnerable in it for others. Lots of great insight and reflection in how to look at God in our situations that don’t end up the way we hoped or asked for, especially when they are devastating. It resonated a lot for me in my own circumstances and journey.
There were times I felt like there were so many details or got repetitive, I got lost and distracted a bit - that some of the story could have been condensed. But overall I appreciated it and gave me a lot to reflect on.

The storyline had some good bones, and I liked the action and investigation part of it but it just felt flat to me as a whole.
The first part of it just felt like it was giving me whiplash with how it kept jumping between characters so fast, it was hard to keep track of them. The lack of character development made them feel 2 dimensional to me and I couldn’t get invested in anyone, and it got very repetitive with the relationships and so many of the same phrases.

Great rom-com. Love Dakota and her character. While it was short and quick, it was super fun and light. Really enjoyed the series.

Heartbreaking but beautifully written. The descriptions and landscape made you feel like you were there seeing them, and my heart went out to Leah in her story for what she went thru all the way around. I enjoyed the setting being in Matthews/Charlotte, living nearby. The concept of Eugenics is such an dark period of time in our history, it's enormously sad and horrific but I'm glad a light is being shown on it with books like these.

Well done murder mystery, along with hidden secrets and conspiracies. It wasn’t predictable for me and I liked the contrast of real acceptance and grace vs judgement and shame eating away at you.

Just ok. Ember’s constant back and forth was a bit annoying and I constantly felt bad for Josh with how she treated him. Some of the dialogue was a little cheesy at times, and the graphic content felt like a lot for a not very long book.

Really interesting looking at the cultural side of Sri Lanka and some of the sad situations, but also closed/open adoption or surrogacy situations. I thought the ending of discussing the pitfalls of viewing yourself as a victim, and posture towards those who hurt you was told in a very profound way and appreciated that.
