This one got me — in the best way.

I went into The Remedy expecting a creepy atmospheric thriller, and while it definitely delivered on the eerie forest setting and unsettling small-town vibes, it surprised me with a twist I did not see coming. That ending? Totally threw me off — and I loved that.

The plot felt refreshingly unique. Just when I thought I had it figured out, Shade Owens pulled the rug out from under me. The pacing was sharp, the tension was real, and the story had this undercurrent of psychological dread that lingered long after I closed the book.

If you like thrillers with haunting vibes, remote cabins, mysterious treatments, and a twisty plot that keeps you guessing, definitely check this one out.

🩺 “A treatment she’ll never forget,” indeed…

Dark, brutal, and utterly relentless—Abercrombie is back with a vengeance. The Devils throws you headfirst into a hellish, demon-infested world where morally grey antiheroes shine. Expect razor-sharp dialogue, gritty action, and the kind of twisted humor only Abercrombie can deliver. It’s chaotic, bloody, and deeply satisfying.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 – One hell of a ride, just shy of perfection but unforgettable nonetheless.

Dark, twisty, and deeply unsettling—in the best way.

Sister, Butcher, Sister by KD Aldyn is a gripping psychological thriller that pulls you into a shadowy world of fractured identities and sibling secrets. The writing is vivid and cinematic, with an eerie tension that builds steadily until the final, jaw-dropping reveal.

I loved how the story explored the thin line between love and obsession, and how trauma can twist even the closest relationships. The atmosphere is haunting, the characters complex, and the pacing keeps you turning pages late into the night.

Perfect for fans of psychological horror with emotional depth and a sharp edge. I’ll definitely be watching for whatever KD Aldyn writes next.

Breathe In, Bleed Out grabbed me by the throat from page one and never let go. This book is sharp, smart, and absolutely unrelenting—in the best way possible. If you’re a fan of dark Hollywood thrillers with a surreal, satirical edge and a gut-punch of emotional depth, you’re going to devour this.

Brian McAuley masterfully blends horror, noir, and psychological suspense in a way that feels both totally original and eerily familiar. The story pulses with anxiety, dread, and biting social commentary. I couldn’t look away—and I didn’t want to.

The narrative is slick, the pacing flawless, and the imagery unforgettable. There are moments that made me physically tense, and others that broke my heart. And the ending? Pitch-perfect.

New favorite. Easily. This is the kind of book you finish and immediately want to talk about. Highly recommended.

Twisty, bold, and dripping with secrets—this one grabbed me and didn’t let go.

Laura Leffler’s Tell Them You Lied is a razor-sharp psychological thriller that brilliantly explores the lies we tell—to others and to ourselves. From the very first page, I was hooked by the chilling atmosphere and haunting questions that spiral through the narrative. The writing is taut, intelligent, and layered, pulling you deeper into a tangled web of memory, guilt, and shifting truths.

The protagonist is complex and vulnerable, and Leffler does a fantastic job peeling back her layers slowly, letting the reader question everything alongside her. There are reveals that made me audibly gasp, and the pacing had just the right balance of slow-burn suspense and jaw-dropping twists.

What sets this novel apart is its emotional depth. It’s not just a thriller—it’s a story about trauma, the unreliability of memory, and the desperate ways we try to protect ourselves from the truth. The ending was satisfying and unexpected, landing just right for the emotional journey that preceded it.

The only reason I held back from a full 5 stars is that one or two threads could have been tightened a touch more in the final act—but that didn’t diminish my overall experience.

If you love smart thrillers with an edge of literary flair and emotional resonance, Tell Them You Lied is one to put on your radar. I’ll definitely be watching for whatever Laura Leffler writes next.
