The Remedy
by Shade Owens
This one got me — in the best way.
I went into The Remedy expecting a creepy atmospheric thriller, and while it definitely delivered on the eerie forest setting and unsettling small-town vibes, it surprised me with a twist I did not see coming. That ending? Totally threw me off — and I loved that.
The plot felt refreshingly unique. Just when I thought I had it figured out, Shade Owens pulled the rug out from under me. The pacing was sharp, the tension was real, and the story had this undercurrent of psychological dread that lingered long after I closed the book.
If you like thrillers with haunting vibes, remote cabins, mysterious treatments, and a twisty plot that keeps you guessing, definitely check this one out.
🩺 “A treatment she’ll never forget,” indeed…
