A very unique story. It truly and substantially made me think of things differently while also breaking my heart. I know plenty of people who couldn’t stand the story, but it moved me. It made me think of things differently. Plus, I liked the realistic sides to this story and the present drama.
I’m not going to lie and say certain characters don’t have numerous flaws, but I will say I really loved Gatsby. He has his faults and issues, but the tragic ending was both inevitable and necessary. I was genuinely sad to see it occur, and I kept trying to trick myself into believing it was false.
Everyone seems to always believe the 20’s was this beautiful and vivacious period of time, but it honestly just hid the darker and harsher realities people wanted to drink away and forget.

This bone magic stuff is SCARY. Reminds me of blood bending from ATLA. Anyway, didn’t feel as clunky as the first volume, but I still wish there was some narration besides the opening scene in every copy.
