I can’t find it within myself to want to continue reading this book. I have no idea why this is because I adored The Battle Drum, but I have zero interest in reading more. Maybe I’ll come back to this, but for now I need to call it quits because forcing oneself to read is how you get into slumps. 

I’m not in the mood to finish this book currently. It hasn’t snagged my attention since those first 165 pages, so I’m taking a break. Hopefully, I can come back to it later this year.

I didn’t finish this book because I lost the drive to continue. I don’t like Sieh as a main character, and I don’t like how long this book is with a character I can only stand as a side one. Maybe someday I’ll come back to this, but ultimately, I want to spend my time reading books I love. The first two were beyond incredible. This one.. just wasn’t.
