A beautiful collection. I randomly picked this off my shelves the other day. It's wistful, thoughtful, bitter, frustrated. Full of pride and love, family and hurt. About language & what language can offer. Stunning.

This is a super cute found family, seasonal, Jewish queer book I require a movie of. Super sensitive but truthful handling of trauma. Cackled at the reason a character is absent. Loved that my bestie and I are a combo of the three femmes 

This is a LOVELY seasonal read about a first year undergrad who tries to escape her heartbreak by taking an internship at the Smithsonian for the winter holidays. Instead, she vibes with the daughter of the local weather man and they walk his corgi around DC in the snow. It’s the subplot line missing from the TV series bones. Queer Jewish joy. Predictable but touching. Perfect festive read. 

Be warned that it is marketed as enemies to lovers but it doesn’t do that.  

Just not a story that appeals to me

I really enjoyed this graphic novel. It provides an in-depth but also quite accessible overview to theories and terminology around class. As an academic and a teacher, I think this book is brilliant for any adult reader. It covers global and intersectional issues related to class.

It features a number of thinkers from different global communities around the world. There are a lot of people and approaches to class that were not represented in my education present in this book. I appreciated the different ways in which text and information were laid out. There are some slightly unfortunate differences in the size of people being represented which is supposed to communicate power but sometimes felt a little bit uncomfortable to me with the intersections that I hold. However, I would not hold that against it.. I have already bought a copy for my library. I have bought a copy for my office and I will definitely signpost it in my classes.
