This book was simultaneously so cute and wholesome, kicking my feet and giggling, and then so so smutty. I liked it a lot, but it really really needed another round of editing. There was so much filler that did absolutely nothing to further the plot along and just kind of re-emphasized things we knew about the two MC's
The epilogue was stupid for a few reasons. One, they both just immediately won everything? Convenient, since she got pregnant and that means she has to give up her dream now for some reason. I knew she was going to get pregnant because they kept referencing random people getting pregnant and having to give up the sport. Thank goodness she won the gold immediately so it's fine. Also, they never actually brought back the quad jump she was trying so hard to complete through the whole book. I was REALLY looking forward to when she was back on a healthy nutrition plan her having the strength to do the trick, but it just never came up after she had to cut it.

Honestly, I was really into this book until the end.
There were a few world building holes that didn't really add up, likewhere did the magic come from? Anyone can draw an incorrect map, if every one of them with a label for a fake town creates said fake magic town then it's not even special, just find a new map and then a new town/room/etc.
But it was the ending that really killed me. I kept thinking, "man this is wild, I wonder how it's going to be tied together in a way that makes sense" and then it...didn't.their reasoning for leaving her mom there so that the crazy dude would chill CLEARLY didn't work. After he kept being crazy that plan failed, go get your wife/mother of your child and just burn the fucking map. There was NO REASON for her to just abandon her child.
