Ahhh! It's currently 3am and I just finished reading this. It's a cosy murder mystery in a haunted mansion, never thought I'd use cosy with a murder mystery but this book felt like a warm hug. Albeit, a warm hug with a scary sentient mansion and maybe not good for you if you have coulrophobia. 

The heroine is so cool, she has insect helpers and is a forensic witch. I want to be friends with cute garlic moths and sassy spiders too. The hero is a grumpy detective who is clearly in love with his former partner, their interactions and banter have me cackling.

The book is a great set up for the series and I look forward to being back in this cosy gothic world next.

These two have been friends since third grade but never crossed the line, they're both commitment-phobes and participate in group "activities" which you can read about in the prequels. Of course they ended up crossing the line to check off the heroine's sex bucket list. This book is full of their sex-ventures that ranged from doing it on a tall building to MFMM with twins. Also remember to download the extra epilogue for the 3 couples get together fun times, you're welcome 🌝

I finally finished this after a year and a half lol, I lost interest at 90% for no real reason other than it's just high stakes and reveals after reveals, it got a bit tiring. It did finish on a high though, Feyre and Rhysand are sweet together.

I finally finished this, it took me almost a month and probably should've DNF but I did enjoy the story and wanted to see where it's going. This had so many good things that worked for me but I didn't gel with the writing. 

Five amazing vindictive stars. Unapologetic revenge plot, screw the high road and also screw all his friends. This was so good, a mix of emotional scarring from being cheated on and family failing you but also super supportive friends and a great smorgasbord of bangs to help you get through.

This book opened with a bang, literally hero's arse tensing away humping another lady so that might not be someone's jam. I expected angsts with an engaged to the wrong brother trope and this delivered. It's got nipple plays galore and hairy hero rep, love it.

I couldn't get into the writing

I loveee this! Their dynamic and banter is so cute and sweet. The hero is my perfect book hero, super grumpy, major asshole but so hopelessly devoted and head over heels for the heroine. The heroine is independent, capable and very playful, they're so good together. The spice and dirty talk was *chef's kiss* 

I loved it, I laughed, I cried. It was slow to start with all the names of advisors, cousins, gods, etc but once I got past two chapters, I was hooked. I loved the fiercely strong heroine, from mortal enemies to lovers with a bullheaded hero and all the side characters who made this book so rich and full of intrigues.

Whew, I'm gonna read the rest of the series, especially if they continue on the trajectory of 3 good friends playing together. Exhibitionism, voyeurism, and group-play fun. So the heroine loves seeing the hero with other people and I'm into it. I didn't think I would be but the hero is so hopelessly devoted that it's pretty hot.
