Finally, since Hippolyta was first introduced I was like where is her book? I just love how wrong the hero is since the beginning but we didn't get the satisfaction out of that. Still it's a sweet read and the hero is a boob man, I'm happy.

Never meet your heroes, they could be a drunk and a womanizer then you ended up disappointed and lock up their John Thomas.
I love me some good femdom and this was also a switch relationship so it satisfied every need. Yes yes, people will talk about the non-concensual cage situation, and it was fabulous. The heroine was that wild and mad for the hero that she went for it. In the heroine's POV I was like yes girl you do you, this is all very reasonable. Certainly, it wasn't but it felt right; that's brilliant writing. I love the hero's reaction and acceptance into his submissive role and open minded to everything the heroine threw at him because he's just that smitten.
Thanks to Daisy Jane for the review copy and this is my honest review.

I don't know what it says about me but I really get on with all the dagger action the hero pulls in this book. He gives big cat energy and also teach me how to be a human. The poor heroine has to impart humanity onto him and also her sweet lovin'. I love this book, I inhaled it, the hero is so villainous and irredeemable but I didn't care.

This book was painful. Half of it spent on the heroine's insufferable sister, who's getting her own book next, save the drama for your own book, love. If only half of the inconsequential people's POVs are spent on the romance between the two main characters, this book could be good. It started strong with heroine's divorce intrigue and a runaway bride sister, but it's all down hill when the sister comes on page.
Extra star for the audiobook because Mary Jane Wells.

I love it when the heroine is in mad pursuit and eager for lessons and the reluctant hero can't help himself but give in.

That prologue sucked me in, I was intrigued by the premise of the hero crashing heroine's engagement party. But second chance romance with much angst is a trying read on the best days for me, and this was heavy. Please check the content guidance first.
The spice was perfect, the hero was the daddiest of daddies. He cooks, he caretakes, he protects. I came for the daddy and breeding kink and was left broken. They're messy and flawed and worked hard for their happy ending.

The mystery plot was intriguing and this felt like a set up for the next story arc of the next couple of books but it was always interesting to see the development of a hero coming around to desire the heroine he initially thought was plain. The carriage scene was so delicious.

This was super sweet, love a governess + forced proximity romance with bonding the children and bringing the whole family together. Hero is tortured and flipping back and forth between wanting to be with the heroine to pushing her away. Deliciously frustrating.

This was so perfect. The perfect grumpy bodyguard hero and sunshine heroine romance. The heroine is blind so she identifies a lot of things and people via scent and makes it all more primal, much like the way the hero feels about her. His obsession is superb and Hoyt always delivers on the most based, most obsessive heroes and I am ecstatic.

I heard a lot about the dual timeline and didn't think I would love it. I did, it added to the angst. The hero is too good for this, he's precious and raw and loved being in his POV as he navigates this complicated relationship with a flighty heroine. I enjoyed 80% of this book and rolled my eyes at the last 20. Hero is like a pathetic dog begging for scraps, loved that, but he also deserves better.
The audiobook was excellent, Teddy Hamilton can talk my socks off.
