I liked the early and later stories in this anthology, mainly because they stuck out as far as themes and specific genres. The middle stories all dealt with vampires, or paranormal PIs dealing with them, and well they're okay but I personally like more variety in an anthology. I want a variety, not the same stories with different characters and similar plots. I'd say about 60% of the stories are worth reading. Don't be afraid to skip a few.

I loved Mist, about a Valkyrie, and Beyond the Pale, which is about magic border patrol, as well as Shiny which stars Djinn.

I loved this book. it was a great read, fast and cinematic. I really felt like I knew the characters and got caught up in thier wonder.

I think what really made me interested in this series (through the movie) was how it played on common cultural ideas and the imagination with which it did so. Gibson's story here is beautiful, aided by his illustrations, and I can't help but feel young again; awed by heroes, the idea of a Man in the Moon, and the power of belief.
