oooo, this was amazing! great complicated characters and as well thought out world, with mingling cultures and politics. and parts at the end that just made me tear up, which is a rare occurrence.

Loved the prose in this story, and all the thoughts about life and war and philosophy that are sprinkled throughout the book.

I kinda expected some of what came up in this story about Levana, but the whole self-tragedy part was beautiful and well done. I do wish it had chapters though - a lack of them made it hard to place a bookmark between the pages.

Well, this book was a quick read. i finished it in a few days. I wasn't impressed by the romance, it seemed cute at first and then moved into the territory of awkwardness that made me not like the guy as a potential boyfriend at all. i did however love the friendship between beth and jennifer. it felt real and solid; i found myself wanting to skip lincoln's chapters to read thier emails. Lincoln did get better with time, cuz his efforts to get his life together were interesting, but like i said before i wasn't thrilled with him as a romantic lead.
