Eh. This thriller was a bit heavy handed. The reader was too much on the outside, so all of the red flags were very obvious. A good domestic thriller should you put so deep inside that you are just as blind sided as the protagonist. Not my favorite Palmer, but I’ll give her another go. #netgalley ⭐️⭐️⭐️
This book totally sucked me in! I love a kidnapping story and this was a good one. A decent twist, good audio narration, with good respect towards the effects of trauma. Highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ #netgalley
Not for me. I couldn’t connect to the main characters and as much as I’m into the Clutter murders, the plot was unbelievable every step of the way. Swing and a miss. ⭐️⭐️ #netgalley
The first thriller I’ve read in awhile that actually felt original!! Half ghost story, half murder mystery, this book leaves you wondering just how exactly it’s going to end, and that ending is so satisfying and RIGHT. There aren’t a million unnecessary twists. It feels a bit Stephen King-ish. A great spooky read. #netgalley ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I liked the concept of this, but the end sort of ruined it. The ending was really tidy and the twist was unsatisfying. No big “OMG!” moments. It felt a little too unrealistic to really captivate me, unfortunately. #netgalley
WHAT. A. SLOG. This was meticulously well-researched, but often repetitive with no clear narrative structure. Part 3 truly made no sense in the book. This is a bonkers true crime story and would be much more captivating with a stronger edit. #netgalley
