I need to go back and read the first three books again. I was too confused about who all the characters were. I thought it was more standalone than it actually is. 

Felt too similar to Justin Cronin's THE FERRYMAN. 

Ultimately, I could not handle Yorick's angst. Parisian drinking and yearning just isn't my thing. If I want to listen to someone whine about something they can't have, my toddler is more than happy to oblige. 

This book is massively, massively long. Too long. I’m 8 hours into the audiobook (roughly 21%) and even Davina Porter’s beautiful voice can’t stop me from being so freaking bored.
