Took me a minute to get into and I was a little disappointed by the end but I loved getting the inside scoop of a rare books library! As a future librarian myself, this was such a fascinating read, sharing the stories of a space not often shown. Jurczyk's writing is also amazingly paced and well done! I highly recommend this to book lovers, to people who see the value in story telling and historical preservation.

Ugh Oseman can do no wrong! From the very first page I was obsessed with this story. I've never read a fiction book with an Asexual main character before and Georgia was a beautiful one to start with. Oseman's strength is creating the best characters and they were the best- funny, relatable, cute, vulnerable. I loved getting to know each and every one of them. Oseman is also amazing at just telling simple stories in an incredibly personal way, and it shines in this book too! My favorite author and my new favorite YA book!

was gonna give it 3.5 but the malinda lo shoutout in the acknowledgements made me cry so an extra .25 for that.

Lavender House was so compelling! Very Bly Manor meets Tale of Two Cities! Everyone is gay, which of course is amazing, and the mystery of who killed the beautiful wife was so gripping! I was shocked by the end, too! Rosen's voice is strong and he doesn't waste anytime!

I'm shocked by how much I loved this book. This was my first Sullivan book and my first in this series and it was so cute and funny! The perfect romance to escape to, Hailey and Wes' long love story is fun! I love the small-ish town backdrop and the side characters was very likeable and strong! For anyone who uses books to escape, this is for you!

I knew very little about Selma Blair before starting this, beyond having seen her in everyone's favorite movie Legally Blonde. Blair's life has not been an easy one, from childhood to parenthood and everything in between, she's overcome so much. I listened to this as an audiobook and loved her book and writing. I feel so empathetic to her and am so glad I got to hear more of her story.

Lamya's story is so compelling and unlike anything I've ever read before. I learned so much and her prose are stunning, bringing me into her fears and thoughts and likes. I can't wait for this to come out and for everyone to read it! It was relatable and vulnerable, two of my favorite things in a book.

The Bold Type but better and gayer! About best friends, all queer, who work at a queer magazine together when it is bought to 2 women who have no magazine experience. Kellogg tells stories of trans POC who are experiencing love and joy and friendship, plus there's a sexy love story. Liz was super relatable to me- gender and gender expression is HARD! So is trying to date your boss (not relatable but makes for a juicy love story). I'm so glad I got an ARC of this book and can't wait to share it with people when it comes out!

I could not put this book down! I am not familiar with Hindu mythology really at all and I was a bit intimidated by this book, worried I couldn't follow it. But Patel makes it extremely accessible, while beautifully telling the story of Kaikeyi. An ohmage to horse girls, asexuals, and mothers, Kaikeyi is a woman of great strength. She's relatable and powerful and while flawed, I don't think I would have done much different than her if given her life. I love love loved this book and want to force all my customers to read it!

An absolute MUST READ. Through a booksellers perspective, Caine explains in great detail the harm Amazon has done world wide, specifically to their employees and marginalized communities. Some of this was unsurprising, but seeing it all written out and detailed was shocking. As a bookseller myself, I've been anti-amazon for years, anti-bezos for years. Caine urges readers to consider their own consumption. He didn't force or blame, which I loved, just thoroughly outlined and detailed the abuse Amazon gets away with, encouraging others to be thoughtful.
