Okay, I honestly had no expectations for this and was pleasantly surprised! I laughed several times reading this. Seriously, the humor was A+ sometimes, I have a really strange form of humor though xD However, some parts of the story did not flow as nicely and the last chunk of the book just went past way too fast. The wrap-up did nothing for me. A really chill book that was fun at times. I'm seriously laughing thinking about it (okay I will let myself out ...)

I had an arc for this and was very excited to get to it! When I first spotted it I knew this was a book I would want to read. It did not disappoint! The writing is beaaaaaauuuuutiful and it made the world alive on the page. The magic, the characters and the food made me want to read page after page. I hope a lot of people pick up this wonderful diverse fantasy novel, it was truly something I will not forget anytime soon.

At the time of writing this I'm unsure if there will be a sequel, but I really hope so. Will read anything Nafiza writes in the future, the writing really was so enjoyable.

*edit* I KNOW NOW THAT THIS IS A STANDALONE *sadness* but again, will read anything this author writes!

I was lucky enough to get an arc of this from my friend! I was really looking forward to this and can say I enjoyed it thoroughly. It all surrounds books, libraries and sorcerers. All great things. It has a cute romance, a mystery, and a wonderful demon called Silas, my favorite character.
More thoughts is in my video review, but I think a lot of people will like this and have fun with this story.

This book scared me because I don't want to think about our world, THE FUTURE OR THE PAST.
