I don't know if I like Bleak House or this one best.... however, Dickens has done it again. He impressed me and made me pleased with just how lovely his writing is.

I cannot begin to describe how lovely I find Dickens writing to be. I greatly enjoy the flowering sentences, and the in-depth description. However, I know that americans are more about coffee, so it's okay if its not your cup of tea. This book contains Esther Summerson. She is my all time favorite female character. Besides her lovely self, each character is intricately detailed, known, and highlighted. This book also examines some interesting aspects of life which should be thought of more. Some of these being what is true service, what is the essence of love, and what difference it makes if one is kind.

Absolutely loved this book. While there is nothing that transcends to make an impact on my world view or future... I cannot help but have enjoyed every moment of reading. While things sometimes just happen to the characters in the most implausible way, there is clever and fun reasoning for that. Several characters are multi-dimensional. But, the ones that are not have reasoning for that as well. Cleverly executed, every chapter is entertainment of the finest hilarity spiced with moments that make you think. The plot weaves itself nicely around several central ideas that make for not just an entertaining but a insightful read while maintaining a pace that doesn't allow itself to take itself too seriously at any point.
