DARK holy shit. this series is so fucked up lol. i liked this one though despite nastiness. 

so unique - so perceptive. another one to reread as we sink further into the real life dystopia that we find ourselves in. grateful for this. good read to remind yourself that despite all the darkness, people will always strive for beauty and creation. even if there’s no hope of survival.

Finished this this morning, and it was breathtaking. So devastating, so brilliant, so clever. I can't wait to read this again and understand it better. I would love to read about this book as well, would've loved to study this in school. Couldn't help feeling so sad that this was likely semi-autobiographical; what torments she must have faced. 

I thought this was a fun listen. Nice to get some insight into GG and Lauren's life. Nothing earth-shattering, but I'm happy to have read it. I thought she was a little pandering in some bits and really felt her millennial bias come out - like the diet chapter, and the Old Lady character - and was a little cringe. But otherwise, enjoyable.

i enjoyed reading this but i think my brain was too small to understand it. need a reread. i went back and reread one of the earlier ones and saw the threads that make their way through the book so i can see how rereading would’ve helped.
