perfect spooky book for fall. i have so many questions though about various plot points.

i just loved this. i wasn’t expecting to love this so much. in fact i didn’t want to like this so much. but i really did. i looked forward to reading it. i would indeed recommend.

ok i didn’t love this. hard to get through, pretty in your face, but maybe that was the point? there were a handful that i enjoyed

i think i need to actually read this rather than do audiobook! will be returning at a later date

i thought this was really well executed and i really enjoyed it. i love this type of domestic drama. thought it would be more gay though

just loved this. a lot of visceral moments, enjoyed the dream-like quality of it all

really liked this. got so stressed at the end that i had to put it down for a couple of minutes, but otherwise i had a hard time putting it down. gave me such intense gut feelings. having a hard time eating it but will do 4.5 for now.

definitely an interesting look at the political landscape of malaysia, and the role that religion and identity play. characters were insufferable though, and 2D.

i can’t get over these books. the way i feel reading these books is exactly how selin feels when she reads the books that somehow, inexplicably, relate to her life and draw the connections she craves. the revelations she has at the end brought tears to my eyes, and i can’t eve begin to understand why. i am just so grateful that these books were written, and that i am lucky enough to get to read them.
