Y’all. Y’ALL. THIS BOOK WAS PERFECT. I’ve got no notes. I was utterly obsessed with every single page and every single interaction between Ethan and Allie. And I can’t go any further without mentioning how on fire those kissing scenes were. I am still a hot puddle of a mess over here thinking about them. YAY FOR KISSING BOOKS.
The banter between Ethan and Allie was amazing. I laughed, smiled like a fool and was utterly drawn in. I loved how they both worked at opening up to one another and leaning on each other with their current grievances. It was friends to lovers (with an obvious note of, we’ll never be friends because we’re too busy falling in love). I highlighted and marked the heck out of my copy and there’s no way I could narrow down a favorite part. Every single moment is needed. This plot and general story line was fresh in this genre and I adored the way it played out. A little bit of action, a whole lot of forgiveness and a magnificent love story.
Side-ish note: I must have my hands on the next book ASAP. The redemption arc is one of my favorites.
READ THIS SERIES. YOU WILL LOVE IT.
Overall audience notes:
- Historical Romance
- Language: none
- Romance: kisses
- Violence: low – moderate
- Trigger/Content Warnings: mentions of loss of parents (off-page), gun violence, robbery, strained sibling relationship

I binged this sucker in under a day. And it DELIVERED. Definitely by no means a perfect book and I could easily pick out a few things I didn’t love, but it gets all the points for wrapping up my attention and delivering me Garret Graham.
Garrett Graham is going to be living rent free in my mind for the foreseeable future. I LOVED him. He was a nice balance of being the cocky all-star hockey player while also being respectful and protective of Hannah and her needs. The longer this book went on the more smitten I became. And that ending?? I’m a sucker for grand-ish gestures like that and I adored it.
I also loved Hannah. She was incredible and was such a light. I liked that she bantered so beautifully with Garrett. But was the shoulder to lean on and the support he needed through his issues too. I just loved them both.
The drama of this new adult romance + college life seemed a little far fetched at times, but lets face it. I didn’t really care. This was an escape. I’m obsessed.
Overall audience notes:
- NA Contemporary Sports Romance
- Language: strong
- Romance: 5+ open; high explicit
- Violence: moderate
- Trigger/Content Warnings: multiple mentions of rape (recounted from Hannah), child and domestic abuse (physical and emotional, recounted by Garrett), slut-shaming, alcohol consumption, death of a parent (off page)

Audiobook notes: I loved the full cast! It’s becoming my new favorite thing in the audiobook world. I thought everyone did an excellent job on narrating and I think the book was really fun in this format. There were even some well placed sound effects that added to the whole flair.
I didn’t know what to expect when I picked this up and I thought it was a quick and great read for summertime. I loved being back in this world and seeing Ami get her happily ever after.
Brody was flat out adorable. I loved his energy and personality and how he and Ami really balanced each other out. Definitely an opposites attract vibe combined with wedding planning and I was smitten. I liked all of the little moments they got and it felt realistic while being swoony.
If you’re looking for a book to listen while at the beach, this is an easy pick.
Overall audience notes:
- Contemporary Romance Novella
- Language: a little strong
- Romance: 1-2 open door; low-moderate explicit
- Trigger/Content Warnings: mentions of divorce and cheating (Ami’s ex-husband)

Excuse me? THIS BOOK WAS AMAZING.
From the beginning I was wrapped up into this story. I enjoyed book one, and this blew it out of the water. I am officially attached to these characters, the plot and everything else in-between.
I loooove that it was dual POV. There’s a lot of complex emotions and hard choices to make. It all tore at my heart and made me ache. I love how this was written though. It felt real, with flawed characters doing their best, trying to take that next step forward and realizing what things you have to let go.
The romance picked up in ways I had been hoping for and I am HERE FOR IT. I love this found family and the new people that are being taken into the group. The other subtle relationships that may be popping up. The intensity at which I hate the antagonists. How the plot moves through fast and quiet times seamlessly. THE ANGST AT WHICH THIS ROMANCE BRINGS ME TO MY KNEES.
It’s all here, it’s all fantastic. Time to read this series.
Overall audience notes:
- Fantasy Romance
- Language: a little strong
- Romance: 1-2 open – low/moderate explicit
- Violence: high
- Trigger/Content Warnings: loss of life, near death experiences, torture, physical and magical altercations, battle themes

That was what a friend said to me before I read it and she was absolutely right and it warmed my heart 100x over reading this book. I LOVED IT.
I absolutely adored both main characters. Nora was passionate and incredibly strong and trying her best as a young mother to keep a hold on a situation out of her control. I felt all the emotions with Nora and looooove her as a character so much. And RIDLEY, what a swoony hero!! He made me melt many times. That man has a way with words, but also with his gentle presence. When I realized what was potentially happening with his character arc I flipped, very much a, PLEASE LET THIS HAPPEN moment.
This book is filled with so much. Children growing up, a single mother doing her best, a man running from his past and antagonists with devious plots. The pacing is perfect, the romance is swoony and the larger story will squeeze your heart.
READ IT.

LIKED IT.

I was up and down and all around on how I felt about this book. Which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Hollywood romances are a hard sell, but I enjoyed Wilder’s last book and wanted to give this a go.
For second chance romance I thought it was a good execution. I liked that therapy was a part of working through things and there were some choice forced proximity moments to remind Lilah and Shane just how much of a connection they still have. I really liked both characters. Even with flaws and mistakes, the relationship and growth felt true.
I absolutely loved the audiobook and dual narration. And I will keep my eye out for Wilder’s next book! If you enjoy Hollywood/Actor romances, definitely give this one a try!
Overall audience notes:
- Contemporary Romance
- Language: strong
- Romance: 3 open door; med-high explicit
- Violence: low
- Trigger/Content Warnings: anxiety, brief mentions of drug use

This was an interesting read. Super quick, twisty and a bit dark.
Another off of my Sanderson list!
