I really enjoyed this, and I didn't know what to expect going in so I'm glad.

This was a really interesting story that says a lot about abuse, grooming, and a person's search for purpose in life. It wasn't overly predictable, in fact I found some parts quite surprising. I also think it was a good length, a lot of books like this add too much detail and drag things out too much. The two main characters were fairly complex but I do wish we'd understood the husband's character a little bit more.

This book was fine, but not great. I wasn't super engaged but I did find it entertaining. I don't really like the narrative style where it's like a story within a story, I find it hard to get emotionally invested. Also I feel like the book really built up intrigue to something really horrible and dramatic that Evelyn did but in the end it wasn't particularly shocking or terrible for anyone but the other main character of the book (who I didn't care about).

The beginning honestly was not that bad but this was way too long. 150 pages could have been cut easily and I think it would've been a better book. I really struggled to finish it tbh.

A super interesting collection of short stories. It introduced me to a lot of different myths and things I hadn't heard of, and made me think. My favourite stories were Headwater LLC and The rest of the way. My least favourite was probably Rokurokubi which seems to be a favourite among reviewers, so that's interesting.

I really enjoyed this book. It was sweet and lighthearted without being too light. I think the serious issues in the book we're portrayed well and the romance was really sweet. I wish Ryan's character would have been more developed.
