This was a really interesting story that says a lot about abuse, grooming, and a person's search for purpose in life. It wasn't overly predictable, in fact I found some parts quite surprising. I also think it was a good length, a lot of books like this add too much detail and drag things out too much. The two main characters were fairly complex but I do wish we'd understood the husband's character a little bit more.
