It was definitely silly, like why did Rachel get amnesia lol what was the point of that? It was pretty fun though plus we get Ax's pov for the first time

Just too slow and not really engaging

Wow this book took so many turns I wasn't expecting. It was super fucked up. Idk if this will make sense to anyone but me but Irina is like the kind of person I sometimes wish I could be? Like her life and her attitude is so screwed up but I can't help but admire how free she is. But then I'm also incredibly grateful to be absolutely nothing like her. I love an unlikeable female character and tbh I love all the violence towards men (only in fiction I promise). This was a very dark comedy and it has a lot of triggers and gore but it was so much fun. It also turned pretty surreal near the end which I loved. I wouldn't recommend this to the average person but if it sounds interesting to you you'll probably like it.

A super important one plot wise, you can tell the series is about to take a big turn. I love Rachel so much.

The story itself was silly but interesting enough, I skip sex scenes unless I'm super invested in the characters chemistry which means I skipped like half the book lmao. I wouldn't read it again or continue the series but I'm not mad I read it

I've always wanted to read Wuthering Heights, but I was wary of it because I've always struggled with the prose of older books. Im so glad I was finally influenced to read it. The prose was actually very modern and easy to understand and engage with, which was a big surprise for me.

It was an incredibly compelling story about trauma, grief, and the cycle of abuse. It's crazy to me how well Emily Bronte seemed to understand human nature. Every character in this book was completely unlikeable, yet empathetic. Being a pretty slow book, I did get bored in some parts, but I was super enthralled for most of the book and had a hard time putting it down.

The setting of this book is so interesting, because it is such an isolated place that the people living in it are hard to see as normal people, they live in such a different world and only meet a handful of people over the course of their entire lives.

With how dreary and unhappy the whole book was, I was nervous about how it would end, but I think it was quite a perfect ending. I think I read the last paragraph of the book like 10 times in a row because it was just that lovely. I'm definitely inspired to read more books from this era now.

Oh wow this one was so good! We get to learn so much more about the yeerks. Its also super scary and sad. It feels more mature than the first five in a lot of ways.

Oh boy this one had some pretty scary body horror going on. I really like Marco and the revelation about his mom was shocking! I also liked that we got to know Ax a bit better in this book

I loved the gentle poking fun at small town romances (which I'm not really a fan of) and I also loved that there wasn't really any conflict. I started to get bored near the end though.

I was hesitant when I got approved for this arc, because I'm not a mother and have no idea what it's like and the reviews were all from people who'd experienced it. I don't know if my not being a parent made this more or less terrifying, but it was a very scary book.

Natalie is a new mother with a very weak support system and she's really struggling until her neighbour Paul, a stay at home dad, starts offering her help. But Paul isn't really there to help, he's there to prey on a sick and vulnerable woman.

I was definitely on the edge of my seat the whole time with this one. It also made me never want to have a baby though lol.
