Man this was a let down after a super fun and intriguing first book. From start to finish, everything that happened in this sequel would start off intriguing and end with complete predictability. I'll read the next volume at some point, but not in much rush after this.

I have mixed feelings about this book. It started off slow, and I felt confused as to where we were picking back up at pretty early. Also there is a lot of jumping around between various POVs, sometimes it just didn't flow well. About halfway through the book it finally found its groove, yet I felt like the first half of the book already did its damage to me as the reader. The ending was also a little too clean of a finish. I love my happy endings, but it just felt like it was wrapped up too neatly, and too quickly. It felt unfulfilling after I really enjoyed the first book.
