I was expecting more about the plot to come out, but we really don't get much of it until the very end of volume. 

After the revelation of the last volume, this volume doesn't follow up on it further until the Extra story at the end. This volume is set up for the mystery surrounding the influx of crime, and methods to deal with said crime. It's a solid volume overall.

There's a very interesting bombshell of knowledge dropped in this book about Ryoma's previous life and Earth's god(s).  While there were hints in previous volumes, this one really shone a light on Ryoma and who he is as a person deep down, even unknown to him. It definitely did a good job of making the reader think back to many previous incidents and how they were handled. 

This volume is pretty much dealing with the fallout from volume 8 and setting up the next major arc. There's a bit of fluff tossed in, and one moment where they gave way too much of a re-introduction to political figures. Gave the impression the author was unnecessarily padding the chapter length. 

This volume felt so disjointed. While mostly the humor was on point, it just never had the fluidity of past volumes. Also the whole sequence of events at the concert where Susan has her drink drugged felt a little too humor heavy, when it should have been handled with a bit more seriousness. That moment really took me out of the volume and the reason for the low rating.
