I read this because I thought it would be funny and while the initial moments with the door are, it’s more focused on when Drys is in human form. I feel like there could’ve been a little more of the book dedicated to door form since that’s what it’s advertised as.

This book spoke to my soul. I knew the ending as soon as it began but the characters became so real to me and so the ending was so painful. It was a perfect read that explores love and loss and everything in between. It’s perfect because it’s not. It’s going to be one I will forever keep close to my heart.

While it’s still a romance book, a lot of the focus was on relationships. Exploring relationships between friends, family, and potential partners was what made this book so relatable. Not everyone is perfect and there were real life challenges and gray areas that defined each cast member. Henry’s dialogue has always been too notch, but now her character development and how fleshed out they are is too.
