This is a very good book it’s just not my genre and I have others I want to get to.

This memoir immediately grabs your attention and doesn’t let you look away. I think any person who wants to learn about trans folks should pick up this book. It offers so much insight that most people don’t have. I must say there are several events in this book which shocked and appalled me. That is precisely why I think this is such an important read though. Paria’s honesty and vulnerability is actually commendable. She is human and she walks us through her human reaction to her child’s revelation that she is trans. There is so much we all don’t know and as parents we want to do the best for our kids and often make mistakes along the way.  This book gave me goosebumps and really made me FEEL so much throughout my reading experience. This book is so good for everyone to read and I think especially for those who might not agree with or understand being trans. Thank you for writing it, Paria!
