I love love love love this book. I don't read a lot of Sci-fi and I feel like I'm missing out on masterpieces!

This story is definitely character driven and I absolutely love it. The characters are amazing! I love the Wayfarer feather family, even Corbin is kinda of growing on me. I enjoyed every stop in this journey and I can't wait to start the next book.

You need to read this book like yesterday!!

A second chance romance, with cute dogs, and a mission to save the animal shelter.

Evie, a veterinarian who seems to have the perfect life, until that life crumples when she catches her fiance cheating and she have to quit her job at his practice. Feeling down she goes to the animal shelter to check on things and runs into Bryson, her summer fling from a decade ago. With the shelter at risk of shutting down they team up to rescue The Rescue, and try not to fall in love again.

This was such a cozy and wholesome book. I loved the flow of the story, the characters, and the romance. I'm struggling with a reading slump, and this helped making me want to read more. Also I love Bella and Waffles! and ofc, Evie and Bryson lol.

I highly recommend this book if you want a cute fast read, and love second chance romance.

This is a slow burn romance. nothing happened untill 85% in slow romance and I loved every minute of it!!!

Danielle Allen writes the best FMCs in romance. Aaliyah's journey with online dating was a wild ride! I felt as if Aaliyah was my friend and I was cheering hard for her. Also where can I send my application to join Aaliyah's friend group???

The romance!!! OMG THE ROMANCE! The yearning, the longing, the jealousy! It was hot.🥵

You can find me stalking the rest of Allen's work.

Plot or Character Driven: A mix

I am devastated. Those last few chapters I was on the edge of my seat hoping and praying everyone gets out in one piece.

This is so well written! There's no sugar coating, no trying to ease you into it, it's just straight up horrifying, and honest. I loved the setting, and the fantastical elements.

Silas is so kind and he only wants to be his true self and have the freedom to do what he wants to do. Identity and trauma was woven seamlessly into the horror setting.

The side characters were fleshed out, they were complex and had their own stories. Silas and Daphne have my heart!

I highly recommend this book!!!

The Narrator of the audio really carried the book!

I thought I was getting a "Workplace sitcom transformed into a romantic comedy novel." and "Wickedly funny." but that was not it.

It's about a depressed, alcoholic, and anxious woman who hates her coworkers and is really mean to a 12 year old child. I don't know what's funny about that but I sure was not laughing. The writing was flat and stilted, the narrator Nasim Pedrad worked overtime to deliver the emotions this book couldn't give.

The stars are for the audiobook.

This book joined my all time favorite list!!! What a breath of fresh air.

Nina knows exactly what she wants, and like to keep her options open in both her career and dating life. Until she gets a big opportunity for her career and one of her dating options may be the one.
Will she take the leap and how will it go?

OMGGGGG I LOVE NINA SO MUCH. Her confidence. Her passion. Her commitment. She doesn't allow no one to cross her boundaries and knows how to put people in their place. Danielle Allen's body positivity and self-love is so well done and I applaud her for writing such a powerful female main character.

Nina and the male main character's relationship is top tier. Their banter and conversations are amazing. Their chemistry is off the chart! The communication is out of this world.

The narrator Wesleigh Siobhan brought Nina and the story to life. The audiobook is prefect. I highly recommend it! Going to listen to Curvy girl summer now.
