I didn't believe everyone when they said it was one of her best books but damnnnn, it took me a little to get into (my reading slumps fault) but I read the remaining 500ish pages in one sitting!!
I actually wasn't expecting the ~bad guy~ tbh so the end of the book was so good! I need to get my hands on LoS soooon.
Also I'm so weak at and mention or appearance of Tessa and Jem so the end was extra good for me :')
I just don't know what to say apart from I love it so much, 5* etc etc etc

It was pretty slow at first but once the story got going it was really good! Granted it took almost half the book but I'm still giving it 4*'s because I loved it!
This was the first Holly Black book I've ever read and I'm pretty impressed, curious enough to try some of her other books in anticipation for book 2.

Just listening to the audiobook pushed this from a 4 to 5, Eddie Redmayne is an amazing narrator!
I loved how this played out! Cinder is still my favorite in the series, I loved her back story in this one!
Scarlet is such a cool character though I see why people love her, I really enjoyed her parts too.
I definitely liked this more than the first book and im so mad I don't own book 3 so I can't read it right away :')

I loved this so much oh myyyy. I bought it simply for the cover and I'm not disappointed at all!
Almost a 5* but not quite as like 80% was build up (not that I didn't enjoy it!) and the other 20% was the ~battle~.
I loved Jack a lot though and the overall characters were so likeable, I cared so much about them! (I've been having issues with caring about characters at all lately :#)
After that ending I have no idea what's going to happen in book 2 but I own it so I can find out soon!

Update to the update: Dear past me...don't convince yourself you loved a book when you dreaded reading it and rushed to finish the entire thing because it was popular...you don't have to like all the popular books...be more honest baby girl

I changed my rating from a 5 to a 2 just because it fits better for me at this point...I'm gonna try re-read it later this year idk. I think me thinking it was amazing as soon as i finished it was just me comparing it to the trilogy which i low-key hated the end of and also that idk i was just glad i finished it because i was bored for the last half of the book, i didn’t care one bit if any of the characters died

Update: I think I'm already gonna have to re-read this (which is tragic because it's so longggg) because even tho it was way better than the trilogy I'm super not attached to the characters so...I can't get into book 2...

This book was so interesting! It really got me thinking tbh. Recommend Caitlin's books to everyone they're so good!!

It was definitely a slow read at first, which is why it took me over a week to read but the last half and the endinggggg!!
I'm just so happy with how it ended, the After chapter almost had me crying.
This trilogy was just amazing and I'm so ready for SoC (bc everyone says that's even better!)

I wasn't expecting it to be that good! I'm pretty hyped to read book 2! The only reason it's not 4* is because it was pretty predictable at times but I love Marissa Meyer's writing style a lot.

I'm pretty sure that was the fastest I've ever read a 600 page book!
The story was so engaging and geniusly formatted it was impossible to put down once I started it. I was a little unsure how I'd feel about reading in such weird format but it was so easy to get into and reading the files and different types of pages was almost natural very quickly.
I'm usually not that big on Sci-Fi books (films heck yes) so it was such a change to find one so good and that I really loved.
Also the plot twists?! Honestly I had to just take a minute once I finished the book to just process what happened. Kady and Ezra are amazing and I loved their characters and the story.
I'm so hyped to read the next book, Gemina, and find out what happens next!! (I need to slow down though so I don't have to wait forever for book 3!)
