This was weird, just so weird (in a good way though. If you want something short and spooky with strange characters read this! I’m glad it’s a novella really because I couldn’t have read more than this of the story so it was great for me.

This hit absolutely everything I needed it to!! Enemies to lovers, forced marriage trope, just so much about this I absolutely adored! The characters were wonderful, the world building was so well done, the romance ahhh. Just everything 5*!!!

I put off reading the last maybe 50 pages for days because I couldn’t bring myself to face it I was so nervous! The tension in this book had me on edge! 

One of my favourite books I’ve read in a long time and I really really can’t wait to get to the next one!

As a little update, even though I picked up the sequel when it came out, I think I am just gonna leave it at this one book. I’m still not sure it needed a sequel so I don’t see myself reading it anymore and just leaving the story as it is!

I don’t really have many thoughts about this but I do know I had a lot of fun! It kinda lulled in the middle but I really enjoyed the character development and the story a lot! The ending was really good tooooo I loveeeee.

I’m pretty sure there’s gonna be a sequel but honestly I’d kinda be happy just leaving it here!

This just kinda didn’t hit for me. I was just soooo bored! I couldn’t find myself caring about any of the characters so I just really didn’t care about what was happening. I made it to the end though. The idea was good I just didn’t vibe with the execution. Least it was a super quick read.

That ending made me want to scream! I didn’t go into this book thinking there’d be another after but now I just know a 3rd book is coming. It took a bit to actually get going, for the main plot to fall into place etc but once it did it was so good ahhh!!

I can’t believe we’re going to be left with THAT as a cliffhanger…

This book gave me such an ick!! I haven’t really read many horrors that actually creeped me out but this one…my god this one. There were so many scenes that were just so gross and icky! The rats…omg the rats ahh

I wasn’t expecting a lot of what happened in this book and I really felt like I was kept on my toes, I kept reading till 3 or 4 in the morning so many nights this week!

I had a lot of fun reading this and I really wanna read more from this author asap! 4.5/5!

I had so much fun with this!! It’s not a long book, it took me maybe 4 hours total to finish but it was really good!! I’m kinda obsessed with Holly and Parker (and Ida and Rose too.)

It has everything I wanted, interesting Vampire lore (I’ve never read a book with lore quite like this one it was super cool!!), sapphic romance, revenge plot, a girl gang!! I’m starting to realise those are all things I love in books so this was really perfect for me.

Honestly if you liked Undead Girl Gang please read this!! You won’t be disappointed!!

The ending was so bittersweet, I almost hope for a sequel.

Not gonna lie, this was nothing at all what I expected. The synopsis is honestly super misleading which is why I’m only giving it 4 but…

This literally kept me on the edge of my seat!! I read almost the entire book in one day it made me so nervous I just had to know what would happen!!! The beginning of the book was so disorientating and learning what was happening and what happened to the mc at the same time as she remembered it all made the entire story much more eerie and unsettling! This really is a great read if you want something quick and fast paced with honestly quite graphic descriptions!! This book made me so so angry and just ugh it was so good!!

Warning though as the synopsis didn’t do it justice, there’s mentions of kidnapping, trauma and abuse. (I don’t usually add warnings to my reviews but I didn’t expect anything I got reading this book as it really wasn’t described even remotely correctly, I was expecting a spooky fantasy but it was so real and the fantasy elements were very minimal and it was more a story about escaping a horrible situation!)

I didn’t know I needed this book so badly till I read it. I just finished it and I have a strange sense of closure I didn’t know I needed till now.

The new character additions were amazing, the world building in this universe is wonderful and the new characters fit perfectly into it as if they’d been there all along. I really didn’t know where I was being taken at the start of the book but honestly I don’t think I could have predicted the route it took, I’m in p a i n.

I really love how VE Schwab writes with the short chapters, it’s such a breeze to get through and I always find myself having to stop myself from reading entire books in one sitting! The way the timelines intersect in this story and the last one and all culminate into the characters meeting is so gooooood! It just works so well, *chefs kiss*, I don’t think there’s a better way to tell this story than how it was!!

I love my man Victor and I forgot how much fun it is to read about a bunch of morally grey sociopaths with super powers !! I never know who to root for cos well,,,no one’s perfect but I found myself rooting for Marcella at some points, Victor for most and then strangely felt attached to Eli?? The ending was so s a d but such good closure?? Anyway June is queen, Sydney is the cutest as always and even though I felt such a sense of completeness for the series with this one I would still love a June/Sydney spin off please :)

When I tell you I was so hyped for this god damn book, twelve dancing princesses retelling??? With spooky murder mystery elements??? I just HAD to read it!

I struggled so much to figure out what to rate this oh my god??? The very beginning was amazing and I was so excited to see what’d happen. About half way though, I was kinda losing my will to live as it felt just so romance heavy and just…boring for a bit? Plus the horror elements just weren’t quite captivating me (which low-key stayed for most of the book) I was so sure I’d rate it a solid 3*…BUT THEN THAT FINAL 1/3??? WHAT THE F*CK???

I genuinely haven’t read a book with that many twists and turns nearing the end as this one I genuinely couldn’t put it down and had to binge the entire last 100 pages all in one go…I’m sat here just omg??? Every time I thought I had it figured out I was so thrown!

I’m giving it 3.5* purely for the thrill I just experienced in that last 100 pages.
