I didn’t know I needed this book so badly till I read it. I just finished it and I have a strange sense of closure I didn’t know I needed till now.

The new character additions were amazing, the world building in this universe is wonderful and the new characters fit perfectly into it as if they’d been there all along. I really didn’t know where I was being taken at the start of the book but honestly I don’t think I could have predicted the route it took, I’m in p a i n.

I really love how VE Schwab writes with the short chapters, it’s such a breeze to get through and I always find myself having to stop myself from reading entire books in one sitting! The way the timelines intersect in this story and the last one and all culminate into the characters meeting is so gooooood! It just works so well, *chefs kiss*, I don’t think there’s a better way to tell this story than how it was!!

I love my man Victor and I forgot how much fun it is to read about a bunch of morally grey sociopaths with super powers !! I never know who to root for cos well,,,no one’s perfect but I found myself rooting for Marcella at some points, Victor for most and then strangely felt attached to Eli?? The ending was so s a d but such good closure?? Anyway June is queen, Sydney is the cutest as always and even though I felt such a sense of completeness for the series with this one I would still love a June/Sydney spin off please :)

When I tell you I was so hyped for this god damn book, twelve dancing princesses retelling??? With spooky murder mystery elements??? I just HAD to read it!

I struggled so much to figure out what to rate this oh my god??? The very beginning was amazing and I was so excited to see what’d happen. About half way though, I was kinda losing my will to live as it felt just so romance heavy and just…boring for a bit? Plus the horror elements just weren’t quite captivating me (which low-key stayed for most of the book) I was so sure I’d rate it a solid 3*…BUT THEN THAT FINAL 1/3??? WHAT THE F*CK???

I genuinely haven’t read a book with that many twists and turns nearing the end as this one I genuinely couldn’t put it down and had to binge the entire last 100 pages all in one go…I’m sat here just omg??? Every time I thought I had it figured out I was so thrown!

I’m giving it 3.5* purely for the thrill I just experienced in that last 100 pages.

Oh I was so excited for this, so excited when I started but I just feel…let down. It felt like that entire story could have been a small 50 page section of another book or some kind of intro…just nothing happened! It felt like the start of something not a full story. I kept reading and reading, turning the page expecting something exciting to happen and it just didn’t.

The ending too, don’t even get me started, it was like reading a whole bunch of nothing for no pay off at all, there was just nothing to it! The ending annoyed me so much, no real conclusion (don’t get me wrong I usually love a cliffhanger), no explanation, just meh. I really hope someone got some enjoyment out of this book, I really do because the writing is great, just there’s no substance!

I’ll give it 2* because the idea was there, there was so much that could have been done that just wasn’t! Ahhh I wanted more! The premise is just so good ugh.

This just fell so flat for me, it had so much potential but my god…

Oh I had so much fun with this! I read the entire thing in a day I was enjoying it far too much!

For a YA mystery it kept me on the edge of my seat, the actual mystery part was so good, the build up, the revel…all great!! I really enjoyed how different it was to the typical mystery too, how often do you raise your best friend from the dead to solve a murder??

The ending was so bitter sweet but it wrapped up so nice and neatly, it was really satisfying!

Mannnnnn I’m so sad this is over!! I’m gonna miss the boys and penny so much! I tried to drag this book out like I did for the 2nd one as I just did not want it to end and be over. I adore this series a lot and I’ll probably give it a few re reads over the years, it’s just so good!! I loved this just so much idk what else to say, I love Shepard ugh, I loved the plot of this one and Simon and Baz getting a happy endinggg! (I could have done with a snowbaz wedding but I’m sure I’ll cope :’)).

If the author ever decides to write more from this universe I really wouldn’t complain if there was a Penny spin off with all her antics, that I would love to see!!

This was EXACTLY what I needed right now!! Honestly it hit every point for me, the characters were great, the story was so good, and the references spoke to my heart!

I honestly loved every minute of this book, I haven’t read a book in a good few months and this has absolutely kick-started my love of reading again ahhhh.

I may be biased for adoring this book so much as it IS about my favourite supernatural AND the MC’s are from Yorkshire like me but I had sooooo much fun reading this!! AND DONT GET ME STARTED ON THE RIDE THE LAST 40 OR SO PAGES WAS OMG! AMAZING!

I honestly don’t know how to feel about this book at all, it wasn’t bad but it wasn’t amazing so 3 seems about right.

I liked the characters, well Elizabeth sometimes and mostly just liked Justine and Mary but still. Victor was truly insufferable. Elizabeth was good at times but oh my god girl u blind!! She really just tuned out all of the bad stuff for like 80% of the book it was just u g h. Still it was written really beautifully I liked the writing style a lot and it was easy to get though so at least it adds to my challenge :’). I was disappointed though, idk I was expecting this book to be more than it was and it just didn’t really deliver.

This was so so interesting!! I love Caitlin Doughty's humour and writing is just so wonderful and this was such a joy to read! I'm gonna end up lending this to a few people just because the facts and questions are so good and the illustrations in here are so cool!!

I know some people said the answers and the book itself are a bit simplistic but I think it worked really well since it is questions from children, plus it made it really quick to read!

As always with Christina Henry’s books this was so eerie and wonderful!! I really loved this story and the lore in it, it was really spooky and interesting I enjoyed seeing it unfold! Only giving it 4* though because I feel like a little more time could have been spent resolving the ending than what was given to it, 40 pages to wrap up a 500 page book? Seems a little bit rushed to me but I still really liked it!!
