The most boring one so far for me but I think that’s just because I don’t like fame elements in books really. It’s kinda funny bc I think this is as far as I got as a kid as well
Listen listen I know I said for book 1 that Adam was my favourite, but mannn after this, Ronan ???? My sweet baby angel boy Ronan, I love uuuuu.
I just loved getting backstory for Ronan, more of a focus on him and just ahh this was SO SO good!! I kinda expected there to be a lul with this book as middle/2nd book syndrome seems to be rlly common but this was just amazing start to finish!
Every time I read a book in this series I’m just taken aback by how magical and cool everything is. Obsessed with the side plot romance, the overarching plot, the character development, the fact we got to focus in on some lore in this one??? All just *chefs kiss*
Genuinely wanna re read the first one AGAIN and then this before I start 3 because I just never wanna leave these characters and I wanna draw the series out as long as I can omg.

This is one of those books that you can genuinely sit and read in one entire sitting because you just can’t stop! Every chapter just has you saying “oh one more just one more” until it’s 3am and you’ve read over half the book and you really need to go to sleep. Speaking from experience sksk.
This was honestly amazing though, the author really knows how to do twists and turns and just keep you on edge! I’m gonna miss Pip and Ravi so much, I’m gonna miss all the characters and Little Kilton, I’m so sad it’s over!
The author is definitely going in my “I will buy literally anything you ever write” list!!

Okay so I essentially read this in one day and the ending caught me off guard and had me crying a little omg???
This was really such a perfect blend of horror, drama and supernatural elements, I loved it!! I genuinely think this would make such a good tv mini series, I wanna see it so bad it’d be soooo sick.
Even though this was a supernatural thriller, at heart it really is a story about friendship and having the power to overcome things together. I don’t really know what else to say tbh except read this it’s fun, it’s fast paced, Abby is a great MC, it’s just good!!!
Side note I wanted Gretchen and Abby to kiss at at least 2 occasions I can’t lie sksks

Genuinely could not put this down omfg! I didn’t think the author could top book 1 but she really did this was amazing! So many twists in this again and it was super quick and fast paced. The podcast element was really cool as well and how the events of the last book truly effected this one.
Really is so hard to put this book down because you finish a chapter and your like I need to know what happens next what’s the clue, is there gonna be a breakthrough every time and you just keep going and going! The character are all so great and real and I love them sm, Pip ily
Idk how the author is gonna top this one and make 3 even better (hell I don’t even know what 3 is about) but I’m so excited to read it!

I really can't say much because I of course don't want to give anything away because it's a mystery and all but...oh my god...READ IT!!!
It was told in such a cool way with Pippa's project being the forefront and a lot of the information being given through her personal log notes. I really enjoyed this a lot, the reveals were super good, every time I thought it was over something else massive would happen! I just loved all of it and all of the reveals, it was really fun!
Genuinely can't say much more because I don't wanna talk about anything major and leave this spoiler free!

Okay okay I liked this one more than the first book! It was so so good all the twists! I saw the main reveal coming a bit before but it was still really exciting and that final chapter twist was so good!!
I really did like how this expanded on the events of the first book and just kinda didn’t just set it in the same world it almost used the events of that one as inspiration!
I don’t really know what more I can say without spoiling it except I loved this concept a lot! I can’t wait for book 3 and honestly I’m gonna start reading more YA mystery cos it’s just so fun!

Okay this was beautiful! This was my most anticipated read of the year and it really did not disappoint.
The story was so beautiful and just honestly I can’t fault it and I don’t know what to say, the end scene had me almost crying as well I just wow…it was so dark and unique and I’m obsessed with it !! At some points I felt some echo’s of other stories by the same author and I think that made me love this even more. It’s just so beautifully written and the illustrations and journal pages really add so much to it!
As I was nearing the end I realised the ghouls and just a lot of things from it reminded me of the aesthetics of Crimson Peak and I’m living for that comparison. Please please read it!

I can’t rate this one a full 5* as I did with the previous books honestly. It just wasn’t at all what I was expecting…
I know WHY the story was told as it was and why we had to follow secondary characters for the majority of the book but it just felt a bit like I was being thrown into a completely different series in a way. I did enjoy myself and did really like the book but it just wasn’t what I thought it was going to be at all, compared to book 1 it feels really jarring.
That said I did like following Pippa and Arjun for the majority of the book and I get that it was necessary to make the ending more impactful but it was a bit slow at times and I was just counting the pages till I got to a Bastien/Céline chapter. Hopefully the next book is a bit more balanced in POV’s and the final book comes out later this year so I can get this series finished!

The aunt reallllly gets on my nerves still, she’s so annoying! I don’t think I remember any books past this point so everything from 8 on is essentially a new experience
