Read this over 6 months as part of the Dracula Daily sub-stack and honestly this is the BEST read through of Dracula I’ve ever had!

Seeing the novel unfold on the exact date the characters experienced it honestly made it so much more fun to consume. I love Dracula as it is, I’ve read it so many times over the years but there was just something wildly entertaining about the feeling of getting an email every day from my dear pal Jonathan Harker!

Plus the memesssss, who knew so much life could be brought into a book so old! It was a great experience!

I don’t really have much to say except if you haven’t read Dracula yet wtf are u doing???

Heartbreaking sapphic gothic horror? Obsessed with every minute! This was gorgeous and spooky and just plain strange, just trying to unravel what was really going on as a sort of mystery was intriguing! 4*!!

I say this about a lot of books but truly I have no words for this one…ahhhhhhhh

I don’t think there’s any way to even describe how this book made me feel at all, all I know is that it was everything I needed in my life. Vampires, the most beautiful writing ever, complex characters, queer relationships…just wow. It was so truly heartbreaking and my god did I feel every second of this book. The extra story at the end too…crushing omgggg.

I’m adding this to my favourite books of all time I just feel SO strongly about it and I can’t put into words just how good this was for me

This was just okay, not amazing not bad just…okay. The premise is what drew me to it but honestly the MC’s were so whiny and entitled and they just annoyed the hell outa me for the majority of the book. It was nice to see a flip on the usual human turned vampire story as it’s the other way round but it just fell flat in a way I can’t explain. I’m giving it 3 because honestly it’s just middle ground.

I know this book was a lot of filler but like it was so fun! Honestly this series is so wild and crazy and I’m obsessed with it! I don’t really have much to say except I’m having a GREAT time with this series and I tried to drag this one out a bit because I didn’t wanna read it too fast!

This was HIGHLY recommended to me and honestly it didn’t disappoint!! This was so good!

I loved all the twists and riddles and games and honestly just had such a good time reading! The chapters being short really kept up the pace and I could hardly put it down. The characters are cool and the set up is really wild, I love the premise a lot and I definitely see the comparisons to knives out etc, it’s great!

I love Avery and the boys and after the ending I can’t wait to start book 2!

Oooo this was so good!! One of my favourite KMM books yet tbh! I’ve been waiting for a new one for a while now and this was just great!

I loved the plot, the true crime content links, the references to one of us is lying series too ahhh. It was honestly just super entertaining and I was hooked from chapter one! I love how there’s always so much to resolve in these bc just so much happens in such a short time, they’re paced really quickly but everything is always addressed and I just love how nicely everything rounds out! As per usual I’m super bad at actually putting together the mystery first but I usually figure it out as the characters do so it’s fun to go through it together!

I thought this was going to be dark with morally grey characters...but it was just mid. "Perfect for fans of The Cruel Prince and Serpent & Dove" also wasn't a good comparison...I didn't get either of those vibes tbh.

I liked the story in theory, the writing was nice but just something was missing! It just felt so shallow? Like there would have been so much more depth and world building but it just all felt very surface level. I saw someone say it was enemies to lovers but it was more...employee/boss to occasional fling with mildly graphic "romance" scenes...

I could see how this was based on so many fairy tales all at once and even though I think this could have worked, it just didn't. I was just kinda boredddd...I wanted to love this so badly but I just felt neutral about most of it for most of the book.

I probably won't be picking up the sequel :')

I don’t even know what to say about this bc I’m sat here just crying my eyes out…omg…

The world building, the romance, the mc’s, everything about this was perfect! Alessa and Dante just ahhh! Dante is so dreamy. The whole premise of this book was so incredible, the no touching trope worked so well within the story too, the whole thing was just so good!! I really loved the setting and the magic in the world. Please read this!

The ending got me so hard, I was so upset!! Easily 5*, my favourite thing I’ve read lately! GIMME THE SEQUEL NOW!

This was honestly a disappointment. It took me FAR too long to finish it. I realised at the start I didn’t really care about the characters much anymore, they just…idk felt weird. The last book was good (I gave it 5 but looking back probs a 4), but honestly the direction the trilogy went was NOT what I expected at book 1.

The whole “battle” in this only started at like 350 pages in, a few of the characters only met up by like 330…so the first 300 pages was a dragggggg. It just felt like I was wasting my time! I was bored! Nothing was happening…I just ended up finishing it to finish it.

A shame really because I adored the first book so so so much! The dynamics, the world, the isekai element, it was great…but the series dwindled as it went. I’m just gonna admire the first book as it’s a fav, remember the 2nd one fondly and pretend I didn’t see this one!

I hope the spin off stuff is good *fingers crossed*
