I need this to be a full length novel NOW! The plot…the idea…the way it was written…truly life ruining, heart breaking, show stopping. I didn’t think a 29 page story could have THIS much of an impact but I’m truly obsessed.

(if you liked this read A Dowry of Blood and vice versa if u liked that read this PLEASE!)

2.5

Giving this a 2.5 because it wasn’t BAD I just don’t think it was for me. I enjoyed the premise of the book and was convinced this was going to be an absolute favourite however, it kind of fell flat for me. I felt like there was a really strong idea of what this book wanted to be but the execution landed on too much beautiful writing and not enough substance with too much vagueness? Points for beautifully descriptive writing tho! I did really enjoy the setting and the vibe, the characters were really interesting and I really liked them independently and the flashbacks were super cool. I wish there was more of an explanation to what happened in the book and there was a lot of the time that I spent confused about what was going on, waiting for things to be explained.

I do recommend this though for anybody who liked Ninth House and that dark academia, school paranormal vibe bc this is exactly that!!

The end of most of these books usually makes me feel sad and this was no exception, I wanna stay in the worlds forever…

This one was a bit different from the  rest of the series but I loved Regan and her world just the same ♡

I’m not sure how these books just get better and better every time but I hope they never stop being written. There’s so many endless possibilities with these world and I never want to leave any of them. My sweet Jack and Jill, I loved this one so much!

Honestly don’t really have much to say about this, I feel like I overhyped it in my head because I loved AGGGTM so much and it wasn’t AS well written as that! It WAS good though and I had fun but some things were just a little annoying…
like  how are you gonna have 5 against 1 w/ a knife and NOT figure out a way to take them out BEFORE anything bad happens…like I know it’s YA so it’s expected it’s gonna be a bit less real but idk it bugged me a bit! Also why did we never find out wtf the patterns in the curtains mean I WANTED TO KNOW!!
Anyway 3.5* because I had a lot of fun but it just didn’t quite hit the spot I expected but that’s okay!! I still love the author and can’t wait to read more she writes!

“Home always shrinks in times of absence, always bleeds away some of its majesty, because what is home, after all, apart from the place one returns to when the adventure is over?”

Lundy…this one broke my heart truly, this may be my favourite book in the series yet! The Goblin Market with all its rules and fair value my favourite setting, I just adored this one so much!

I bought this for the title and I was not disappointed. I wasn’t expecting such diverse queer rep in this book but I’m so happy it was there and so well done. I feel like this book despite being about witches had some really good conversations about race, gender and sexuality. The story itself was also impeccable and I loved the different POV’s of all the mc’s! I definitely recommend this if you like witches and queer fic it was really tense and gripping!

I was NOT ready for that cliffhanger omg! Imma need the next book asap!

I can’t explain how mad I am at myself for not getting to these books sooner. Everything is just so whimsical and magical and hopeful, even in the hardest moments or the dire situations the characters are in it’s just so so good. I love this series more than words can ever express!

This…was so perfect. I’m genuinely so obsessed with the writing in these novellas, how the story is told, how whimsical yet horribly dark they are at the same time?? Jack and Jill…I love you poor poor girls, I’m so excited for the rest of these!

This was beautiful and brutal and upsetting and I am obsessed with it. This was everything I hoped for and nothing I expected at the same time. The concept was so unique and well executed and it was just…wow…the writing was so beautiful and descriptive and just…no words oh my god I am in pain, I need more
