You would think a book about grammar, punctuation and words would be boring, but this is far from it!

It’s a witty and anecdotal look at how the written and spoken English is formed, which helped keep the attention from wandering. It also reminded me of few things as well as teaching a few others that have passed me by.

A rather well written and interesting read. It told the story of Joseph Lister and the hard work he carried out to get germ theory recognised and get the use of antiseptic into common practice. Without him, I can’t even imagine where’d we be.
It just takes one person to build on one idea to change many more.

Even with it’s occasional gruesome parts (but you should expect them if you are reading a book on Victorian medical practices), I enjoyed this one.
