A rather well written and interesting read. It told the story of Joseph Lister and the hard work he carried out to get germ theory recognised and get the use of antiseptic into common practice. Without him, I can’t even imagine where’d we be.
It just takes one person to build on one idea to change many more.

Even with it’s occasional gruesome parts (but you should expect them if you are reading a book on Victorian medical practices), I enjoyed this one.
