I absolutely love books where the setting is a character and this book did that beautifully. I absolutely loved the descriptions. I'm definitely a little bit sad that the book is over.

These are so cuuute. I love this series.

I don't think that this book is best taken in by audiobook. I kept getting lost and needing to go back. Still a really great story! Just maybe not by audiobook next time.

It's not perfect, but I think this book could be a great place to start with kids when talking about the U.S.'s past.

This was just okay.

I picked this one up because I absolutely DEVOURED the Netflix series. Although the Netflix series was based on this book, they are VERY different stories. It was nice to read about the true story, but I must say I enjoyed the TV show more.

This was REALLY good. I enjoyed it a lot and could definitely see myself reading this to students or recommending it to students.
