What does it mean when you really really REALLY want to connect with a book but no matter how hard you try, you just can't? Was there anything about this book that I hated? Nope! Did I dislike the characters? Not at all. Was it slow moving or boring? Not in the slightest! So, why oh why did I not enjoy this book that much? I literally have no idea. I felt really removed from the book, so maybe it was because I just am in a completely different life space than the characters? I"m not quite sure though. Maybe I need to meditate of this more before being able to form my opinion completely because I'm super confused as to why I didn't like this that much.

BOOKTUBEATHON 2017 BOOK #2

This was a fun book! I've been so busy that I wasn't able to read it as quickly as I wanted too but I still found t really great! I can definitely see myself reading it to students in my future.

Reread: June 2017

I found out that there was a second book of these comics yesterday and I cannot wait. I LOVE these comics. I haven't laughed out loud with a book in a really long time.

This book took me quite a long time to read. Not because it is bad, but because I picked it up right around when I started school. It was very different than I thought it would be. I enjoyed it quite a bit, but it wasn't the best thing that I have ever read. It really did give a great perspective on what it's like to be a refugee in this world. This book is a really great book if one is trying to get perspective.

1.5/ 5 stars.

Why did I read this whole thing?

It just kept getting worse, but I was so intrigued to figure out what happened I kept giving it chances. Now, I have finished the book, I have given myself time to process and OH MY GOODNESS it was bad.

It was interesting because throughout the book SO MANY stereotypical millennial type things came up that I am very familiar with. I think this book was trying to educate people who may not know about those things. Like, possibly? I mean there was just SO MUCH happening in his book and none of it worked for me.

I felt like I was on drugs. Like what happened? I need Jesus.

Cute book. Not quite sure that I would read it in front of my students, but I would definitely keep it in my classroom.

I read this for my Theatre History class. I am super interested in seeing where the conversation for that class is going to go because this play was very interesting.
