One of the most interesting things I've read in a while.
2.5/5 stars.
I think I messed up with reading this book. I messed up because I've been reading this book since January and this is one of those books that you need to read continually. I really enjoyed this book when I read the bulk of it at the beginning but as I went on, the more breaks I took, I started to get less interested. Unfortunately, I didn't/don't care to start the book over again to see if it was the pause in my reading that stopped me from enjoying it. However, at the same time, I think that if I was really in love with the book, I wouldn't have been able to take such lengthy breaks from it. Unfortunately, this book wasn't my favorite. It had it's great moments, but overall it didn't really click with me.

This book has sparked a ton of controversy. I was afraid to pick it up because there was so much negativity surrounding it. However, I loved it. I feel like it was a great ending to the series. Veronica Roth is a genius.

I was a little cautious when I picked up this book, because everyone was in love with is and I didn't want to not like it. It lived up to ever expectation! It was amazing! I can't wait to read Insurgent! :)

Full Review from my blog Owl Eyes Reviews
I started reading this book in January and I was hooked right away. However, school work decided that I shouldn’t be hooked and I had to put the book down until about a week ago. When I picked it up again I decided to restart it because I felt like I was going to miss some of the point if I didn’t read it all in one go. Now that I’ve finished the book I know how that starting over was a good idea, however, in the end, it didn’t help me love the book in the way that I had hoped.
This book was split into two parts, so I think it’s only appropriate for my review to be in two parts as well since my feelings towards the two parts in the book were different.
Part I:
The prologue in this book was ridiculously beautiful and it was what initially hooked me. The writing kept me on edge the whole first part of the book. The story as well. I mean, a story about misfits in a secret class? Yes please! I enjoyed the story and the writing so much that I didn’t even mind the mystery aspects of this book when usually me and mystery don’t get along very well. It was smooth sailing for me and this book until about fifty pages before the second half of the book.
There was some bigoted homophobia that really didn’t set well with me but I tried to remind myself that the character was shit and not the book as a whole. I really was excited for the book to get dark but as soon as it did I realized that it happened in a way that I didn’t expect.
I was left going into the second half of the book apprehensive of if I would like it or not.
Part II:
The first part of the book felt like a mystery and the second half of the book felt like a mystery but the mystery was already revealed. I spent a lot of time wondering why the second half of this book was here. A racist outburst by a character almost made me put down the book once again but I stuck it out because I wanted to know what was going to happen to the characters that I so enjoyed the first half of the book.
However, the characters that I fell in love with in the first part of this book were not the same in the second half. After a while I was just reading because I wanted to know what was going to happen. In the end, I wasn’t upset with the book but the second half was not as enjoyable as the second half.
Overall, this book was enjoyable, however, not what I thought it would be.

3.5/5 stars.
The moments with the stars really got to me. This was a really great short read :)

This medium was really interesting. I've never read a graphic novel like this before. I would really love to read more like this.
