I was sent a copy of this book by my booktube friend Beatrice, who also just so happens to the the author of this book! I'm so incredibly proud of her for writing and publishing this book. Many people have dreams, but they seldom go out and make them happen for themselves.

Beatrice has a very simplistic way of writing, which is really different from the busy writing that I've been reading recently. It took me a while to get into it because simple writing was coming off as a slow plotline, when really it wasn't. It was the fact that it was different from what I had been reading. The old lady in the cottage had a very interesting thought process and I liked reading and seeing what she was thinking. I found it quite interesting.

This story really intrigued me. I cannot wait to read more from Beatrice. I see her going many places as an author.

Oh my goodness! This book is freaking amazing! I truly was on edge the entire time while reading. Bethany and Xavier's love made me want to melt because it's so darn cute. At times I thought Xavier should go eat bark and others times I was wishing I was in Beth's place. I absolutely loved this book. Adornetto did an amazing job! I have no idea why do many people don't like it.

4.5/4.5 (Yes that is correct) This book was not trying to be perfect. Jodi Lynn Anderson knew that her book was not going to be perfect, that wasn't her goal. The goal for this book was to be perfectly flawed. And it was just that. Brilliant.

I've heard a lot about this book since I've become a more diligent reader. Mostly because it has been banned so many times over the years. Every time I come to reading a banned book (especially one that is meant for children) I always find myself wondering why it was banned. This book was no exception.
One thing I really enjoy about this book is that it look at an issue that all of us (of the female gender when it come to our bodies) have been through and shows it in the eyes of someone going through it. It was nice to hear it coming from such a young voice. (Even though sometimes the things these girls would do were ridiculous. However, I think that is because of the age difference between me and the girls.) I really enjoyed the theme of religion in this book as well. It's very relevant for someone to think about. I wish I would have had the choice like Margaret.
Overall, this was a good books. I just wish I could have read it when I was younger.

3.5/5 stars. This one wasn't as good as the first but still really good! I can't wait to know what happens to these girls.

This was not the best book that I have ever read but I really enjoyed it because the story was amazing. I could not not put it down. My first book in verse and my first book about transgender people. I loved it! :)

I have forgotten how much I love Simone Elkeles voice when she writes. I absolutely loved this book and I CANNOT wait to read the next one. It was really amazing. The two voices were very strong and amazing. I loved it. Another great one from Elkeles :)

4.75 stars. I received this book for review from Netgalley. Honestly, I did not understand what I was getting myself into when I picked up this book. It was CRAZY AMAZING! I was intrigued by the story because it was a new idea to me. It was great and I would recommend it to anyone who wants something cute that is a little bit different.
