After LITERAL YEARS of avoiding this book, I’m glad to say that I have officially finished it and I enjoyed it. The only reason it took me so long to read is because I am in graduate school. I will definitely be picking up the sequel this summer :)

A. LOT. Happened in this book and I thin an audiobook may not have been the best medium for me with this one. There was a lot of cultural learning, which was amazing, however, I found myself needing to go back a few times for comprehension. The fault is totally mine, however, I do think that constant star and stop did make it a little hard to connect with the story.

I was drawn to this book because I Know This Much Is True was one of my favorite middle grade books I read in the most recent years. This one wasn’t as good in my opinion, but I LOVE being able to read about indigenous young people. I’m looking forward to adding this one to my classroom library :)

What an absolutely beautiful book. This one snuck up on me in the best way. I really fell in love with the characters and the writing was so incredibly beautiful. I found myself getting lost in it often. It’s been a while since there was a book that I didn’t want to put down. I’m very grateful that this book found me at this time ❤️

Yeahhhhhhhh, the wasn’t my favorite . Not that anything I’d wrong with it, I just don’t really have a huge liking for this type of fantasy.

This book brought up some really wonderful things that may be hard for kinda who were born after 9/11 to understand.

I love these boys

This book is unlike any book that I have ever read. I really liked learning about a different type of beast in every chapter. I’m not a huge fan of fantasy, but I enjoyed this and I could see myself reading more like this in the future.

This was adorable. Definitely a good one to read while waiting for the next Heartstopper. Thanks for the recommendation, Becky! :)
