I avoided this book for a while because I thought that it was going to be one of those books that try to get you to pick it up just by shock value. However, after so many people in my life recommended it to me (including people who do not enjoy reading a whole bunch) I decided to check it out. This book deals with topics that can be very challenging to write about, however, I believe that the author did a really beautiful job of bringing these characters to life. Definitely a book to talk about.

So incredibly powerful!

This book is really hard to read if you’ve ever been in anything remotely like an abusive relationship. It was raw and real and super duper sad. A hard read, but I really enjoyed it.

This one was okay. There was a lot going on that really captured me, however, after a longer time reading it, it fell for me.

I think I got lost in this one. There was a lot that I didn’t catch. Maybe it was because I wasn’t paying enough attention, or maybe it’s because this was a more character driven than plot driven work, but I had a hard time with this one.
