This one was pretty good. I feel like I need to read it physically as well to experience the illustrations as well!
This was a fun one. I learned a lot while also being able to have a little bit of a mirror as well!
Second read through 12/20/21
My partner was appalled when he found out how low my rating was for this book. He asked that I read it again now that I’m older and I’m really glad that I did read it. I think I wasn’t in a place to receive it last time. I really enjoyed the story this time.

This was a beautiful book artistically, however the story didn’t connect with me.

I absolutely l love this story and this graphic novel interpretation did not disappoint
So so cute! Read this one with my partner and it made us laugh a lot
This book came out of absolutely no where! I haven’t gotten this into a dystopian/sci fi YA book since I was in high school. The feelings it gave me were super nostalgic. I enjoyed it a lot.
Hmmmmm. This one was interesting. Aristotle and Dante was one of my favorite books of all time in my high school years. I was SUPER excited about this one. However, I didn’t really connect with it as much as I did the other one. I enjoyed it, but it gave me a completely different vibe than the other one. I watched an interview of the author talking about the book and it made me understand a little bit better. However, in the end I was a little underwhelmed by this book. It was beautifully written, but the plot wasn’t really my jam. I think that I would have been okay if Aristotle and Dante was only one book instead of two.
Pretty good read! I’m completely astonished by the amount of distinct perspectives that were in this book! Many of the perspectives were so different from my own that it was really refreshing to be able to read.
I read this for a class I’m taking in grad school! This book definitely has changed my perspective on teaching literacy :)
3.5/5 stars.
I recently had this book gifted to my classroom and I’m doing my very best to read through all of the books in my library so that I can recommend books to my students as I get to know them as readers.
Zed is a very lovely character. It’s not very often that one gets to read about a non-binary young person. The students that I have in my classroom are really going to enjoy having this representation.
