I'm not really into survival books, that being said, I enjoyed this more than I thought I would. I wouldn't read it again, but I would definitely put it into my classroom :)

3.5/5 stars.

This one really made me reflect and think A TON! I may have to revisit this one in the future.

This was SO WONDERFUL! I'm so excited to have this in my classroom library in the future. There are so many different and wonderful representations in this book. I love it <3

What an absolutely MONUMENTAL book! I have so many people who have been asking me for years what they can do for social studies on the primary grades. I will be handing people this book from now on. Ugh, I’m so grateful to these women for writing this book!

What an important book for kids to read. Many people do not want to have conversations with kids about police brutality because they don't know where to start. This is a place to start. This is not an easy book by far, but it's a start with these topics that are written in a way that students can understand. It's lovely. I will be buying this book for my classrom.

I've really been doing my best to learn about disability rights and someone recommended me this book. Wow! Judith Heumann is such a wonderful activist and I am sad that I never learned about her growing up. I'm so grateful that someone recommended me this book and that I got to learn more about Judith and her important activism.

I’m not the biggest fan of books about animals. This one was good, just not my favorite.

I was extremely hesitant about this one at first. I wasn't sure if I was liking what I was hearing towards the beginning. However, after a while, the characters started growing on me and I was truly routing for them! Great read, I can't wait to read the next one :)

I will never get enough of these boys
