Thought-provoking and heartbreaking. The movie gave Oppenheimer a happy ending he never lived. It's sad how his and Kitty's tragedy continued to their children. The book is so fantastically researched it feels like the author was next to Oppenheimer with pen and paper, following him his whole life. Narrator was ok, pleasant voice, but there are many changes in audio that are really obvious and distracting.

To be honest, this was pretty boring. No logical character development, it tried to be deep and meaningful, but it just wasn't. Unnecessarily long, I didn't care about any of that people. It would probably be a DNF if it wasn't an audiobook so I can do something else to entertain myself. The narrator brings rating up for a point.

Consistently cozy and nice. It was great to continue this adventure, I like how we have one main mystery of aunt Lavender that spreads throughout the series, and a new one in every sequel. Selene is the goat, I love her and Cora's relationship development. Also, it was interesting to meet a little darker witches. Can't wait to continue.

Well, this was an interesting ride. The first half is fantastic – I read it in just a few hours, only pausing for a sleep. But then, the second half stretched out far too much. It felt like the same points could’ve been made with fewer pages, especially all the extended adventures of Rennie Jr., his father, and the other "bad guys."

Though many seem skeptical about the ending, I actually enjoyed it. The philosophy of being like ants to higher beings was thought-provoking to me. But it all ended a little abruptly after going on for so many pages. On the other hand, King did an excellent job crafting a large cast of characters, and he developed them so well that each death felt impactful. While I doubt I’d have the patience to reread this story, it was an interesting experience for a first read.

Perhaps my expectations were too high, but this was pretty disappointing for me. It read like exercise in therapeutic writing for King, felt like his cathartic expression. And it was fine if read through that lens, but I was dying from boredom for most of the story.

Beautiful story, Jess and his thoughts were very believable and relatable. But I feel like something was missing to make it truly 5 star unforgetable story.

Classic little murder mystery. Agatha and Poirot are such a nostalgic read for me, I rest deeply while rereading those stories.

My new bedtime story! This book is absolutely perfect for falling asleep. It's interesting enough to keep coming back, but it doesn't say anything new, so you can check out any time, and won't miss much. Narrator had a soothing voice very appropriate for content of the book. I'll listen to this again from the beginning tonight!

It took me some time to warm up to the story, but once I was in, it was crazy adventure. The end was so scary I went to get my cat inside. Maybe I shouldn't listen to it while alone at home on Halloween. I love how Preston and Child write their stories. I'm only a little bit sorry I've read The Cabinet of Curiosities before this, so Nora's love interest was already spoiled to me. I love Smithback. Even though the narrator was amazing and he read with great scary voice, I don't think I'll listen to Preston and Child's books anymore, they are much more enjoyed when read.
