This was actually quite entertaining. The writing is really fast-paced, so it's a quick read and a great palate cleanser. It has a few clichés but it was alright.

This is one of those stories I knew my whole life but never actually read. I'm glad I finally did. The writing was amazing, so many emotions, questions, and what if scenarions. This is so much more than horror, Mary Shelley SERVED.

This was a fun little read, teenage whoddunnit with low stakes. I'm just starting the main trilogy, but I feel like this little prequel served great as an introduction to the friend group. I was entertained and enjoyed the writing.

Bad writing, infodumpy, a lot of telling, annoying FMC, sapphic overkill, "twist" obvious from chapter 2, couldn't make myself to continue.

Very good cozy mystery, great palate cleanser - low stakes, brain off, yummy food, hot detectives, cat, witches... had a blast. Definitely continuing the series.

This one was a challenge in so many ways. I almost quit after a few pages because the writing was too much for me, but somehow, I kept going. Then it became too much emotionally—too cruel, too real, so hard to read and feel—but something kept pulling me in, and I couldn't stop. Unfortunately, the ending dimmed what could have been a solid 5-star read because that POV kind of tainted the beautiful story it was. Even though I had such a hard time reading this, I want to try more from SGJ—his writing just captivates me.

Let's be honest, these books aren't at the top of the literary quality, plot is very simple and predictable, the characters one-dimensional, but it makes me giggle, kick my feet and have fun! Ravenwood's Lady is more typical plot that I was used to from Amanda Scott, so it wasn't as interesting, but Lady Brittany's Choice brought some fresh ideas. I really liked those characters. All in all, fun and cozy historical romances to cleanse palate.

I loved how the author combined a classic thriller with real life issues in the best way possible. I really enjoyed myself. MC was one of the best characters I read about recently, so level-headed and self-aware. The story enthralled me completely. I only wish the rest of police officers got a better characterizations because I kept mixing them. Looking forward to read more from S. A. Cosby!

Well, it was my fault for not reading the reviews. It had such an interesting premise, I was hoping for some deep moral questions, but ended up with a shallow, disjointed and not researched story. Women are portrayed horribly, there's bunch of unimportant characters and side stories, MC is trash, nothing made sense. The narrator was also a little hard to listen to, especially when narrating women. The only reason I finished it is some kind of mazohistic tendencies in me.
